The conclusion of Game 5 of the WS has been cancelled for today (Tuesday). They will try to complete it Wednesday night.
The weather all day today in Eastern PA has been raw. You know the weather where it is too warm to snow but just cold enough to make the rain miserable? That’s what it’s been like all day.
As for the Rays, hopefully they don’t have to find a new hotel. They checked out before Game 5, then when the suspension came, had to find a new hotel in Wilmington, DE, 25 miles away. Could they need a third hotel in three days?
Now, as for tomorrow’s forecast (like the previous post says, the Weather Channel for WS MVP), it appears like they’ll get it in. 20% chance of rain (after it’s supposed to stop in the afternoon), but cold. Mostly cloudy, 42 degrees at gametime but a real-feel of 35. Westerly winds at 13 MPH.
Now I wonder. With the delay today, and Game Five being split into Part I and Part II, suppose the Rays win? …and then they win Game 6? Does Philly come back with Cole Hamels on three days rest in Game 7 or stick with Jamie Moyer? After all, you have the rainout, the conclusion of Game 5, then Game 6. You could come back with Hamels in Game 7 on three days rest. He has all winter to rest up. Do you bump Moyer (Game 4, 5, rain, 5 part II) to Game 6 and scratch Myers? Or keep Myers on the LONG rest (off, 3, 4, 5, rain, 5 part II) and scratch Moyer? What does Tampa do?
Should Tampa win game 5’s conclusion, there will be lots of head games.

If the Rays win Game 5’s conclusion, it may be time to cue Foreigner.

Hey Guys
Just heard that Jon Heyman was on the radio and said the Yankees are going to make an incredible push for CC and they believe they made a mistake in the Santana deal.
Also said that they may move Damon or Matsui or both during the offseason and make a run at Holliday. Talks of Damon to CHW and Matsui to Seattle.
