Pinstripe Prospects: The Minor League Report.

AAA: SWB split a DH, both games by 3-2 scores. They won the opener. Traber went 3 scoreless, Robertson got the W (4-0, 2.06 at AAA) despite giving up 2 R in 2 IP, and Steve Jackson went the final 2 (only 7 innings for minor league DH’s) for the save. Eric Duncan, Chris Basak and Chris Stewart with the RBI in a 3-run 2nd.

In the loss in the nightcap, Kei Igawa (14-6, 3.45 at AAA) went 6, giving up 3 runs and taking the loss. Ben Broussard and Nick Green had two hits each.

AA: Trenton was routed 11-3. Jason Jones had a rough regular-season end to a good season by giving up 9 R in 4 IP (13-7, 3.33 at AA). Colin Curtis had 2 hits, HR, 3 RBI.

A+: Tampa won 6-5. Luis Nunez, 3 hits, HR (Grand Slam), 4 RBI.

A: 10-2 win for Charleston. Jesus Montero, 2 hits, 3 RBI. 3 hits for Austin Romine. Abe Almonte and Brandon Laird each with 2 hits and 2 RBI, Laird’s 23rd HR.

Tampa’s season is over. SWB and Trenton finish their regular season’s today then start the playoffs later this week (Wed.). Charleston finishes its season today.

Staten Island goes on for another week.

The GCL Yanks have been done for a while. The GCL had their championship games. The GCL Phils beat the GCL Nationals for the title.

Pete Abraham reports on who is coming up (today is Sept. 1st) and who isn’t for now.
