From Pete Abraham:

RHP Dan Giese was examined today by Dr. Chris Ahmad at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He was diagnosed with rotator cuff tendinitis and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list. The club will make a corresponding move tomorrow.

Pete says to expect Britton again…and

Darrell Rasner will get the start on Tuesday. Phil Hughes will start for Scranton on Sunday as scheduled.

I’d then expect Hughes back in the rotation on August 23rd. Right now I hope to see Hughes pitch on Sunday. Waiting on a return phone call.

Also, Pete reports that Matsui is scheduled to play for Tampa (A+) tonight.
