AAA: Dan McCutchen is starting to adjust to AAA. 6 IP, 2 R. 6 K. AAA ERA? 3.32. J. B. Cox rebounded with a scoreless inning. The bats got 3 HR off of ex-Yankee Tyler Clippard, with the HRs coming from Cody Ransom (his 15th; a 3 RBI night), Juan Miranda and Matt Carson. Jason Lane, who I mentioned in the comments section of the Yankees game blog, is only at .232, but had 2 hits and an RBI tonight. A 7-3 SWB win.

AA: Keep an eye and ear out for Eric Hacker. The kid is 5-1, 2.37 at AA since his promotion. This is good. What I want to see. COMPETITION FOR SPOTS. 3 R in 5 1/3. Anthony Claggett (why is no one except me talking about this guy?) 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 4 K…ERA at Trenton? 0.95! Colin Curtis 3 hits, all doubles, 3 RBI in Trenton’s 5-3 win. Jim Cooper 2 hits, 2 RBI.

A+: Tampa lost Game 1 3 to 1. Kevin Smith and C. J. Henry 2 hits each.
Lost nightcap 6-3. Jason Stephens got roughed up in Game 2.

A: Charleston rained out.

Kind of funny how Clippard was on the Columbus Clippers when they were the Yankees minor league time. Then he’s back again with columbus playing against Trenton.

It just seems to me that the minors are absolutely loaded with pitching prospects from top to bottom. any chance Aceves sees time in the majors this year.

Aceves could replace Rasner in the rotation after the break.
