Tabata may only be 19,
but this act is already getting old.
The first time it happened, ok, deal with it, grow up and learn from it. This is the second time. Jose Tabata needs a swift kick in the a**. John Nalbone has the story. It’s the second disciplinary unprofessional instance this year already.
Speaking of growing up, in reading some stories, it appears Carlos Delgado should do it too. (.222-8-25, OPS+ 82).
I also read reports of Igawa getting homesick.
(Insert obligatory Igawa joke here:___________)
Via ESPN.com:
Kei Igawa isn’t quite as buried on that Yankees’ depth chart as Carl Pavano, but it’s close. And he’s already homesick. We’ve heard from two different baseball men recently that Igawa asked the Yankees over the winter if there was any way he could return to Japan. The Yankees quietly explored their options, got nowhere and gave up. They’re still on the hook for nearly $11 million to Igawa through the 2010 season.
Congrats to the Lakers, who now wait to see if they play the Celtics or Pistons in the NBA Finals.
The Yanks’ leader in wins starts tonight. Did you think, seven weeks ago, that on May 30th it would be Mike Mussina? A My9 game, so I may or may not be watching with friends. Yes, the Yanks face another lefty tonight. Hopefully one of the righty bats in the lineup other than Jeter and Alex can provide some support (see a previous post about Melky batting righty, Ensberg, Duncan, Molina vs. LHP, …not to mention Betemit and his “Spanish bullfighter” defense.)
