A late free agent signing; and no, it isn’t JD

Orlando Cabrera signed a 1-yr., $3M contract with the Reds, with an option for 2011.

Cabrera, 35, split last year between the A’s and Twins, hitting a combined .284-9-77, 13 sB and and OPS+ of 86.

For his career, he is a .275 hitter, 162 ga. ave. of 11 HR, 71 RBI and 18 SB. OPS+ 86. He has been with the Expos, Red Sox (part of the 2004 WS team, acquired at midseason), Angels, White Sox, A’s and Twins.
