Jimmy Rollins hit a two-run, two-out double in the bottom of the 9th to give the Phils a 5-4 win over the Dodgers (as we see another closer—Broxton—blow one) and put the defending champs one win away from the WS.
It appears as if this series won’t go back to LA.
As for the Yanks, I am still seething….SEETHING….over the overmanaging by Girardi last night in pulling Robertson for Aceves.

i’m still fuming as well. can’t get past it. the way he decimates his line ups with pinch running moves that–though they make sense in theory haven’t worked once in either series this october. alex has bailed them out. but girardi has constantly killed the heart of the line up by taking out matsui. i’m not advocating that he shouldn’t continue, but last night taking damon out as well…so you have no one protecting either jeter or alex…inexcusable. you covered the robertson issue as well as anyone so i needn’t say anything about that. what surprises me is i figured he would give up a game by having someone like jeter bunt but that hasn’t happened. ( i liked little g bunting 2 days ago)
