Horse Racing: The filly won’t be in the Belmont, meaning Borel could go back to Mine That Bird. Could he pull off the strangest “Triple” known to horse racing? 

The Yanks got HR from Posada and Swisher in the 2nd, and tacked on 5 in the 4th to basically put the game away. With the win, the Yanks open up a 1 1/2 game lead in the AL East. A 10-5 win.

Two RBI for Jeter and Damon, 3 for Cano. #227 for Posada ties him with Marquis Grissom on the all-time list.

Sabathia went 7, giving up 3 runs. A scoreless 8th for Robertson and Veras (DUMP HIM ALREADY!!!!!!) gave up 2 in the 9th to run his ERA to 6.97.

Memo to Cashman: what will it take for you to dump the useless Veras???
